In rural Northern Ghana it is difficult to generate income due to a lack of resources. When Jared and Anna Odle arrived in Ghana they joined a development program involved with shea nuts. Because of the overabundance of shea nuts in the area, making shea butter is an organically effective way to create income for thousands of women. Women are able to purchase healthier food for their family to eat and send their children to school through the income created by producing shea butter. However, there is a current need to build 2 shea butter processing centers for the health and safetly of the women.
